Besides seating, what kinds of living room furniture do you have? - Looking for Living Rooms in Las Vegas (Part 2)
Not only should you get a coffee table – or several, but you should also consider the much neglected bombe chest for your living room. Most people simply put these into the corner of their den or in the front hall by a door. In these places, the bombe chests are rarely seen or appreciated for the beautiful pieces of art they are. People often do not get these chests, or hide them away in corners, because they are unsure of what to do with them. The many drawers offer a myriad of storage capabilities from gloves and letters, to books or DVDs which need to be returned to the library or video store. Anything that you want to secret away in your living room but still need close at hand can be kept in the drawers. They are perfect for putting back issues of magazines for reading or wayward remotes and video game controllers for consoles and televisions not in use. You will never lose the remote again if you know that it is always kept in the drawers of your bombe chest.
No longer do you have to hide these pieces of fine furnishings. You should find the best place for your chest so that you can both use it and feast your eyes on its beauty. The optimal placement for a bombe chest is where its unique ornateness can be enjoyed. This might mean having it next to your entertainment center or other focal point for your living room. Being placed next to the entertainment center makes keeping the remote inside all the easier. You can also put candles and photographs atop the chest. These will draw the eye to the part of the room where the chest sits, and your guests will be treated to the exotic appeal of your bombe chest.
